Fourth of July in Riverside

Lucky Riverside residents.  You have a lot of choices for the Fourth.

Fairmount Park is hosting  the 3rd Annual 4th of July celebration, beginning at 3pm and fireworks going off at 9pm.  It’s free except for the Kid Zone, which is $5 for unlimited play.  The fireworks will be over the lake.

The Fourth of July Spectacular is popping off (get it?) at 9pm the Riverside Sports Complex on Blaine.  This is $4 per person and no ice chests permitted.

There are also firework shows at 9pm at La Sierra Park and Mt. Rubidoux, both free.

No Fireworks in Riverside Co!

What you don’t want to do is light fireworks anywhere in Riverside County.  According to Ordinance 858, everything, including firecrackers and sparklers more than 10 inches, is forbidden.  Well, there are some exceptions, but for the general public like us, they’re just not allowed.  Here are approved fireworks shows in Riverside County.

I can’t wait!
