It smells like fire outside. It could either be a fire that’s burning near by or someone’s bar b que. In my search for local fires, I found something just announced this week.
Riverside County announced this week that we now have an Early Warning System, which will quickly notify citizens when threatened or affected by an emergency. It can make up to 250,000 calls an hour, but only to 911 database of listed and unlisted numbers. It doesn’t contain cell phones or VOIP numbers, but you can manually register up to 5 phone numbers per address. It is also TDD/TTY compatible and will leave a message on your answering machine or voice mail if you don’t pick up. Hopefully, you’ll never need to use it, but register anyways.
BTW, there isn’t any sign of fire near by on the incident report. Must be a bbq. Unless the huge fire burning in Sierra Madre is blowing this way.
